QA Lead/Analyst

As a result of our continued growth we are looking to recruit a QA Lead/Analyst to work at our Head Office, ensuring that quality systems and processes are in place and adhered to, in order to maintain the high standards of delivery on which we pride ourselves.
Ideally applicants will have at least 2 years experience in a commercial software environment with a strong QA ethos, and a good understanding of current Microsoft technologies, particularly SQL Server, Windows 2003, XP, .NET, IIS and Windows Security. Some previous experience of testing, configuration management, quality assurance or customer support would be an advantage.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with an analytical approach to your work and strong problem solving skills. You will need to be organised with a high standard of attention to detail, particularly with documentation. You must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to take ownership and drive issues through to successful conclusion.

Systems Trainer

To complete the Professional Services team at our new Head Office on the outskirts of Slough, we are looking for a Systems Trainer. Whilst much of your time will be spent on-site delivering training and support to customers, there is also a need to train our own staff across our full range of applications. You will also be required to coach and support less experienced staff who on occasions need to provide training as part of their wider role. There will also be significant opportunity to be involved in developing new training materials and methods, as well as involvement in more technical aspects of implementation work.
This role requires at least two years experience delivering training to external and internal customers. You must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook, and at least a year’s experience of researching and developing course materials. In addition to excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will also have some knowledge of MS Operating Systems, Workflow, SQL, networks and computer hardware, and ideally some previous experience of relevant software technologies.
As our customer base is both widespread and varied, applicants must be willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas on occasions.

Project Manager/Business Analyst

We are looking for an additional Project Manager/Business Analyst to join our busy Professional Services team based at our new Head Office building on the outskirts of Slough.
The postholder will be responsible from production of project implementation plans through to successful implementation of our software solutions for our varied and widespread customer base. Ideally you will already have at least three years experience installing small to medium size Client Server solutions, preferably in the EDM marketplace. You must have hands on experience of managing all aspects of the project life cycle and some exposure to on-site support and trouble shooting, combined with excellent problem solving and verbal & written communication skills.
Technically you will have a strong working knowledge of workflow, Windows Server Technologies, including Server 2003, Windows Client Technologies, including 2000, XP & Vista, and Web Server Technologies, particularly IIS 5 & 6. Some experience of MS SQL Server and TCP/IP Networks is also required. It is essential that all of our customer facing staff are willing and able to travel as a regular part of the job, and this will sometime involve working on customer sites outside of the UK.

Customer Support Manager

Due to our ongoing success, we are looking to recruit a Customer Support Manager to manage our busy Help Desk and Technical Support teams. Currently based in Langley, we are relocating to new premises west of Slough very soon.
This is a new role, established to increase our ability to provide all of Hitec’s customers, in the UK and abroad, with excellent and responsive first line support.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for the recruitment, training and motivation of two teams of staff providing solutions to a variety of customer problems, often within short and sometimes non-negotiable timescales. This will require strong technical and interpersonal skills, combining great communication and organisation with problem solving and the ability to absorb and apply various technologies, whilst always maintaining the highest standards.
It goes without saying that you will already have hands-on experience in first line support, ideally in a commercial software environment, with a minimum of two years in a team leader/management role. You will have a very good knowledge of MS Windows and related applications, plus some practical experience of bug reporting/fault management systems.
As our customer base is varied and worldwide, all of our staff must be flexible, willing and able to travel within the UK and abroad as necessary.

New Business Sales Professionals - Public Sector, Finance/Banking Sector

We are currently seeking to add to our UK sales team and are looking to recruit two high-energy, self motivated software solutions sales professionals, to focus on Public Sector and Finance/Banking sector sales.
The Public Sector role could be based from either of our UK offices, and market knowledge is a pre-requisite. Working knowledge of risk or performance management would be an advantage, as would previous exposure to EDM solutions. The Finance & Banking role will be based from our new head office building just outside of Slough, and sector knowledge plus experience of EDM and/or Compliance solutions are key to this role.
Both positions will include development of territory plans to achieve agreed targets for both solutions and services, and will require excellent solutions selling skills to manage all aspects of the sales cycle. Candidates should be able to show a strong track record in identifying software projects and bringing them to successful closure. Excellent presentation skills, proven at the highest level, are essential, as are first class written and verbal communication skills.
