We are looking for experienced Implementation Engineers to strengthen our busy Professional Services team, providing a high level of service to our customers worldwide.
In this position you will be required to install, configure and test both hardware and software components of Hitec’s suite of products, and will ideally have at least 3 years implementation experience, including on-site and office-based support. You should have a proven knowledge of Intel based hardware, and an understanding of databases, client server technology and browser/.NET based applications.
The successful candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of Windows Server platforms and MS SQL Server and hands-on experience of most or all of the following: Networks (TCP/IP & Domains);Web Servers (Internet & Intranet) ; SCSI & RAID based Storage Devices. Some previous experience of document management systems would be an advantage.
Travel to customer sites is an essential part of this role and a car/car allowance will be provided. Candidates should have a full driving licence and current passport.

We are looking for an additional Developer to join our busy Customisations team, working closely with both Professional Services and Development staff to produce bespoke demonstrations and applications to meet the requirements of our worldwide customer base.
Whilst the core activity of this role will be writing software code, the job holder will be required to develop skills in all areas of the product lifecycle. This role is office based, but the job holder will also be required to visit customer sites at times, which could involve travel across the UK or abroad.
Essential technical skills for this role are C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server/TSQL. Some knowledge of VB6, IIS Security, nUnit, nAnt or Sharepoint would be advantageous. Good communication skills, both verbal and written are a key requirement, along with well developed analytical and problem solving abilities.
To fulfil the requirements of this position, you must have a full current driving licence and passport.

To complete our Development & QA team, we are looking to recruit QA Development Engineers, to develop, maintain and support product and test environment software and technical information, in support of our quality processes.
With a minimum of two years practical experience in a software development environment, you will be able to show that you have the skills to contribute to the development and execution of product and test environment software, to generate and advise on test criteria and also assist with testing and associated software investigations.
In addition to previous experience in a QA/testing environment, a good understanding of current MS technologies is essential, particularly SQL Server (2005/2008), Windows 2008, XP, Windows &, .NET (v2/3.5), Windows Security & IIS. Some experience of C# development is also required and Agile development experience would be an advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential to this role, combined with a high level of attention to detail. Good communication skills and an aptitude for learning & applying new technologies would also be welcome.
