Pandemic Business Continuity Plans

Hitec have completed a business review to ensure that we are able to continue the provision of high levels of service to our Customers in the event of a major viral outbreak. A password controlled section of our website has been reserved for the exclusive use of our Customers.

In the event of a major pandemic being announced, passwords will be circulated by email to all Customers with current Software Maintenance Agreements. The website area will contain contact details (mobile/email etc) of all Hitec Senior Managers and key Technical personnel; the contact details of our US and South African offices; our partner offices around the world; and other useful links.

The most likely business impact of a viral outbreak would be the imposition of travel restrictions. We implemented a web based Customer Support/CRM system some time ago, and therefore key authorised Hitec personnel will be able to access this and other critical systems from their homes, via VPN connections. This, coupled with the contact details referred to above will ensure that Customers will continue to receive a high level of technical support, information, advice and guidance. We have contacted our critical suppliers to ensure that they are at an equally advanced stage of planning.
