Hitec Laboratories, the leader in software solutions for information governance and management, today confirmed that it has been selected by Housing Plus to provide its Conform policy and procedure management solution. The purchase will allow Housing Plus to achieve new efficiencies in communicating and auditing the growing mass of policy-related information presented to its employees.

Housing Plus is a leading West Midlands based housing organisation. Group members include South Staffordshire Housing Association and Property Care, a specialist property repair and refurbishment contractor.

With a high local profile in its sector, it has always placed considerable emphasis on communicating the key policies and procedures that define its work.

“For some years now we’ve been creating very clear policies for our staff, but we’ve been reliant on traditional paper-based methods of passing them on,” explained Governance Manager Tony Price. “It became evident we needed a more effective way of managing the process, and that’s why we’ve chosen Hitec’s Conform solution.”

Using Conform, Housing Plus will now be able to distribute policy and procedure documents covering all operational disciplines to its 200 staff, and will have automatic visibility of who has received, read and agreed to them. “As well as that, it gives us an end to end policy management process for the first time, from policy development through to scheduled reports on policy compliance to departmental managers,” added Tony Price. “In addition to time and cost savings, the implementation of Conform sends out a positive message that Housing Plus is taking seriously its governance responsibilities to both staff and its customers.”
